House Republicans have an updated bill to repeal and replace ObamaCare, and The Hill has a new whip list.
The updated bill includes an amendment that would allow states to opt out of key ObamaCare rules, including on minimum coverage requirements and allowing insurers to charge more based on individuals' health.
Those changes are designed to win over conservatives, and the new legislation has been backed by the House Freedom Caucus and outside groups including the Club for Growth and FreedomWorks.
The question is whether GOP centrists can back it.

The liberal Republicans are balking now that the bill includes some things that would actually change Obamacare.
It’s still not repeal.
It might be a step in that direction, though and that’s why they oppose it.
How about an amendment that would allow all 320 million Americans to "opt out" of Obamacare?
Why can’t everyone pass the bill so they can see what’s in it? That was good enough for the Congress when 0bama was around.
12 no votes would still leave enough votes to get the bill passed.
The only thing that matters to most American voters is whether their medical insurance premiums will be lower in 2018 than they are in 2017. How the GOP decides to make this happen is really up to them ... but if they don't make this happen then they might as well collectively jump off a bridge because they're just wasting time and space.
That’s the way I feel, I just hope we have people to take their seats ...
Don’t forget the deductibles MUST be lower also, if not the insurance is useless unless of course you get run over by a Mac truck and don’t end up in the morgue!!!!
Twelve no votes and sixty-plus unknown.
Frankly HarleyLady I would NOT MIND one little bit if a Dem took LYIN RYANS seat, it would send a HUGE message and NOT turn the house control!!! It would also get us a NEW SPEAKER!!
So are they screwing us again? Or is President Trump going to let things go through to his desk and then get things the way he wants them???
An insurance plan with a $200 monthly premium and a $15,000 annual deductible might be perfect for a lot of people -- especially if the IRS allows penalty-free withdrawals from a retirement account to cover medical costs. The key is to save money in a health savings account as quickly as possible to cover these deductibles in the event of a catastrophic health care need.
This is what makes a lot of this whole thing just an academic exercise. The Senate will likely make a LOT Of changes to whatever comes out of the House ... which is why I've been saying for months that Sen. Rand Paul should be put in charge of this whole thing on the Senate side. Like him or not, he seems to be 100% on top of all the nuances of health care reform.
I like Rand he has ALWAYS been for shrinking the BEAST and that is ALL I care about!!
<< “.... it is the RINO’s that truly stand in the way of getting rid of Obamacare. “ >>
That is a fact that is becoming crystal clear.
Not sure, still, exactly why Trump didn’t call out all parties involved. There is this Boy Scout-face, Paul Ryan, and there is the “moderate” Tuesday Morning contingent, and the Conservative Caucus. All three wielded no power whatsoever to even get the president’s agenda on a table, on the lawn.
It was a catastrophe that Ryan could not master the friggin’ math (his “specialty”) and add up the disparate votes on the REPEAL. Oh, that’s right. Ryan did not even write a REPEAL bill!
Lou Dobbs whips the malarkey out of Paul Ryan on FOXBiz, all night long, every night, for Ryan’s absolutely useless tenure as Speaker of the House, then Lou doubles down and hauls in House members to his program, and reduces them to stuttering (in-your-face style), for not already kicking Paul Ryan to the curb, and finding a pro-Trump Speaker to replace him.
Something has to pass the House and the Senate before it can make it to Trump's desk. This bill may not make it out of the House. And if it does it may not make it out of the Senate.
So they pass it back and forth and still we have bamicare...I see the game being played...
