The half-billion people murdered, maimed and enslaved by socialists of varied stripes during the last century ought to be sufficient proof of their ruthlessness, lack of ethics and intractability. Likewise, Islam’s 1,400 years of blind zealotry, as well as the murder and mayhem perpetrated by Islamists during that time (to say nothing of the same perpetrated by Islamists over the last couple of decades alone) ought to be sufficient proof of their inability to come to accords with their opponents.
Over the last couple of years, we have seen key indicators that citizens of Western nations who’ve had socialism and its attendant social engineering devices rammed down their throats over the last 50 years have had enough.

Growing backlash.
The world has FINALLY reached a tipping point - the backlash will be strong, but slow, I predict.
Climbing out of this HOLE is not going to be for the faint of heart. Those in power will NOT give it up easily, as we have witnessed time and again.
I think libs have embraced "be nice--or else" as their political philosophy because socialism is such an ugly word.
My definition of Evil: The motivation of action wherein one person or group willingly actively seeks or devises the impoverishment or disadvantage of another person or group.
PS: The Authors ‘Mormon-Flower Child’ label is extremely ignorant. A central theme of the ‘Book of Mormon’ is how evil or unrighteousness will corrupt and kill society and must be continuously morally and sometimes militarily opposed.

I was going to say the same thing. Unfortunately, people will always be drawn to Socialism because it promises them that they can live the good life on someone else’s dime. That they can get “free” healthcare, housing, food and education to be paid for by the “rich.” Something for nothing. People never seem to learn that there is no free ride and that the “rich” is really them.
Satan still rules this world.

If Venezuela’s Maduro was asked, I bet he would say socialism is going great. He gets to play President-King, choose who wins/loses, and at times - dies. He eats very well and has belongs to an elite social class that lives the good life. Maduro has multiple residences, cash, and an army. . . yeah, socialism is working just great for him.
Maduro would likely go on to say how much better life would be for his people if those Americans were not constantly plotting, stealing, and attempting to colonize.
Starving and oppressed people can only be pushed so far; at some point there’s nothing else to lose. I’d bet on a revolution this Summer, and Maduro fleeing to another country. What I’m not quick to bet on is whether or not this will simply lead to another President-King.

Michael Moore is not going to like this article. Bernie Sanders knows if it were he to implement the socialist system it would work. Hillary wants everybody other than her and her spawn to be socialists
But the naive, Utopian Bernie-worshipers are fully convinced that the lessons learned from Socialism’s past failures around the world only serve to ensure WE CAN AND WILL DO IT WELL.
It seems to work better in certain monolithic societies for a while.
Doesn’t matter.
To the elite, socialism promises power and to the masses it promises other people’s money.
The attraction is too strong for either group to be rational.
