Those who want to preserve our constitutional republic spent a lot of time and energy getting Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court. There is no doubt that his confirmation was an important step toward achieving that goal. But with rumors swirling that another slot could open as soon as this summer, the public should realize that it is President Trump's next pick that will provide the opportunity to finally solidify a conservative majority that will protect the Bill of Rights and enforce the Constitutions limits on the power of the federal government.

I would lime to see Ginsburg step down and be replaced with a conservative.
Kennedy is a “swing” vote. I think he enjoys that status.
But what fun will it be to be a swing vote when your vote no longer matters?
Replacing Ginsburg would give 5 conservatives. Kennedy’s vote loses it’s importance. Gut feeling is that he will just side with the conservatives.
“his next SCOTUS pick will be the true test of President Trump’s loyalty to his promises and to us.”
If Trump gets his advice on candidates from Jeff Sessions, we’ll all be well served. If the advice comes from a “centrist”, all bets are off. Think Souter.
Yes, a pivotal moment is in the offing.
Therefore, the resistance will be tremendous, if not unprecedented.
Our representatives need to hear from us loud, clear, and often about this.
We have national gay marriage because of Kennedy.
I suspect that if Hillary had won, Ginsberg would have retired by now. Instead she is “hanging in there”, to keep the court as liberal as possible. Sooner or later she will conclude she can’t outlast DT and she will have to step down. It will be a great day in America, Yuge!
Isn’t Thomas the one who wants to retire now that a Republican is in office?
The Bushes were horrid judge/justice pickers. Oftentimes deferring to whoever the Dems suggested. The creep who barred Trump’s first EO on travel restrictions was touted as a “Bush nominee” but in reality was put forward by Patty Murray as part of some sort of sordid “deal”.
By the way, I haven’t said “F the Bushes” yet today. So...F the Bushes. You’re welcome.
be nice if a Ginsburg vacancy would happen sooner rather than later.
Thomas should consider retiring. There is no guarantee of which party will be in office from 2021 onwards. You don’t have to wait until you’re in your 80’s to retire.
So true. This next pick is Trump’s BIG TEST.
I don’t know. However, there’s been a lot of current speculation, some by very well connected people, that it’s Kennedy.
Thomas should consider retiring.
I pray Thomas does NOT retire!
He is one of, if not THE best Justice we have, right now.
Long live Justice Thomas.
Ruthie is the one who cannot even sit up straight, or stay awake for any stretch of time, and should retire, immediately.
Kennedy may well be the next to retire.
My fear is that it’s Thomas he’s been hinting for awhile. Which would mean we’d be lucky to stay even. I’d love to see Kennedy leave though. He has betrayed us on some big ones.
The best situation would be Trump replacing Kennedy, Ginsburg and Thomas before 2020 — with constitutional conservatives.
Thomas should retire when Sessions resigns. He’d be great in the confirmation hearings.
Either Kennedy or Thomas are going to retire.
The only way Ginsburg is going out (she’s practically there already) is toes up without a pulse.
Let’s hope the next pick is so far right that even WE take pause! It’ll balance out the homosexuals and hard-left progressives already in place.
I think there would be a cascading effect. If Kennedy retires (as has been rumored) and is replaced by a conservative, then Ginsberg will be outvoted on every decision. At that point, what's the point of hanging on? Same with Breyer, who's also pretty old.
“I would lime to see Ginsburg step down”
We all would, but one would doubt that this died in the wool democRAT would ever step down on her own.
