Ann Coulter: Not Building the Wall Is a Government Shutdown
Breitbart ^ | April 26, 2017 | Ann Coulter

Posted on 04/26/2017 9:20:54 PM PDT by EliRoom8

No one voted for Trump because of the “Access Hollywood” tape. They voted for him because of his issues; most prominently, his promise to build “a big beautiful wall.” And who’s going to pay for it? MEXICO!

You can’t say that at every campaign rally for 18 months and then not build a wall.

Do not imagine that a Trump double-cross on the wall will not destroy the Republican Party. Oh, we’ll get them back. No, you won’t. Trump wasn’t a distraction: He was the last chance to save the GOP.

Millions of Americans who hadn’t voted in 30 years came out in 2016 to vote for Trump. If he betrays them, they’ll say, “You see? I told you. They’re all crooks.”

No excuses will work. No fiery denunciations of the courts, the Democrats or La Raza will win them back, even if Trump comes up with demeaning Twitter names for them.

It would be an epic betrayal — worse than Bush betraying voters on “no new taxes.” Worse than LBJ escalating the Vietnam War. There would be nothing like it in the history of politics.

He’s the commander in chief! He said he’d build a wall. If he can’t do that, Trump is finished, the Republican Party is finished, and the country is finished.

Why can't Trump hold fast on this?

Why can't Trump hold fast on this?

He was used to being CEO, where people had to do what he said, or get fired.

He had no idea of the powers of creative incompetence, and the loathsome depths of corruption, of the Uniparty.

And he's beginning to look like he's wrapped around Ivanka's finger.

Because it’s Congress at fault, not Trump?

What’s he supposed to do, put a gun to all their heads?

Did you see Ann on Hannity, tonight? She explained that it was her funders who backed down, not her.

Hannity and Tucker covered this, on their shows, tonight.

Just an FYI.

***

Really?

You do realize how stupid that sounds, right? He’s known Ivanka for, you know, her entire life. You’d think that if she’s going to make him so super liberal, she’d have done it long before the election.

No excuses will be accepted.

No wall = no further Republicans votes for me in this lifetime.

GOP, this is your last chance to deliver. No further chances will be issued.

You’ve been warned.

So, she is only going to, “fight the good fight”, if she gets paid? I don’t know what is more laughable?

Maybe not Ivanka, but who do we thank for the recent liberal hires in the White House? Who do we thank for the new kick the can down the street attitude on the wall?

Maybe that’s who was going to pay for her security??

I have no idea, just a thought. I’ll try to find a link to the interview, or her statement/description.

Absolutely not! He is playing 3-D chess. Ordinary people like you simply do not have the acumen to understand the genius at play here. You better be careful or you will get zotted. I think you were always a secret never-Trumper.

Absurdity to demonstrate absurdity.

Please forgive the rant from one who has been on the receiving end of just such absurdities, present company not excepted from having participated.

Ann Coulter cancels Berkeley event amid protests, says decision ‘a dark day for free speech in America’

The hecklers used their veto.

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter told Fox News on Wednesday she would no longer give a planned speech at UC Berkeley after Young America’s Foundation pulled its support for the event amid threats of violence, calling her decision “a dark day for free speech in America.”

The speech was originally scheduled to take place Thursday – but Berkeley asked to postpone it until next month after protests over the planned speech grew into a nationally-watched firestorm.

“I looked over my shoulder and my allies had joined the other team.”

- Ann Coulter

BERKELEY COLLEGE REPUBLICANS EXPLAIN LAWSUIT

Coulter, YAF — which had helped organize and finance the event — and the Berkeley College Republicans initially fought the school’s decision, with YAF and the college Republicans filing a civil rights lawsuit on Monday. But by Wednesday YAF had “actively” opposed Coulter’s speech, she said, and “ordered the lawyer not [to] file for [a] court order” which would have mandated a room for the talk. The college Republicans are bound by YAF’s decision, Coulter said, “so there’s nothing more I can do.”

“I looked over my shoulder and my allies had joined the other team,” Coulter said in an email.

In a series of tweets, Coulter said she was “so sorry for free speech crushed by thugs.”

“It’s sickening when a radical thuggish institution like Berkeley can so easily snuff out the cherished American right to free speech,” she tweeted.
