I think the reason that the college sponsors, the Republicans and the “Conservative Movement” group, withdrew sponsorship of Ann Coulter’s appearance was because they knew the “Alt Right” was planning to show up and fight for Ann Coulter’s First Amendment right.

There have been many posts here on FR saying its time to ‘fight the Left’.

For my own part, I don’t support violence but I don’t support silence either.

We are moving towards the acute need for non violent civil disobedience in this country.

We have been through this many times on freerepublic over the decades. For nonviolence to work you have to have a media that is at least minimally objective and their audience must have morality. Neither of these conditions are extant.

Go back and study Ghanaian because he realized that for him and his people these conditions were present. The British press was actually to some extent on his side and the people were shocked and horrified by what the press was telling them about happenings in India. He realized the conditions necessary for non violence to work were present.

In our time and place the enemy has scrupulously prepared the battlefield by arranging these factors to THEIR benefit.

Reminds me I need a fist knife (AKA “push dagger”), to flesh out my spectrum of force escalation. Disfiguring and bloody, but non-lethal unless you somehow manage to slit a throat with it, which wouldn’t be easy. A bit more than pepper spray, yet a bit less than my wicked neck knife.

Of course I have no desire to take part in one of these pre-arranged riots, but I live near a university town so one could spring up around me when I’m in town.

I practice constitutional carry, but that’s only for when the other guy has a deadly weapon.

‘The show must go on’: Berkeley braces for violence as Gavin McInnes vows to speak in Coulter’s place

McInnes issued a challenge in a video, declaring that “the show must go on,” even if Coulter decided not to appear after all. Supporters agree and announced they were planning a rally on Thursday to protest the silencing of their conservative views, CBS San Francisco reported.

The founder of the pro-Trump group, the “Proud Boys” announced he would be at Berkeley to speak Thursday and called on other supporters to join him at the rally, scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at Civic Center Park.

“I didn’t intend to do this, but I’m going to hop on plane, right now, and I’m going to do her speech,” he said.

“Our army will be a bigger audience than most of these liberals get when they do talks,” he continued, taking on the so-called anti-fascist groups that have clashed with far-right groups at events like the one scheduled with Coulter.

“I don’t care if we have to use a bull horn and we’re screaming from some random hillside in the middle of Berkeley,”  he said.

The City of Berkeley issued a press release Wednesday warning peaceful protesters to avoid violent groups on both sides and to avoid getting “baited by provocateurs.”

“In recent protests in Berkeley, we have seen a small portion who come seeking to hurt others or to destroy property. We have seen that individuals who come armed and armored use peaceful protesters as a cover for their violent actions,” the statement read.

Why not just have a bunch of people get into a circle and be recorded calling 911 by themselves. As soon as one person is done, another one calls. And another. And another. All on video. Then, after the police do nothing, you bring it to Youtube or Tucker or something and have people ask: "Why were six calls to 911 asking for help ignored?"

Maybe there is an investigation, maybe as far into Congress and someone has to answer, some low level due, under oath: "Where you told by your supervisors to stand down?"
