The Turkish army that attempted to cross into Rojava's Dirbesiyê city through Çetelê and Gir Beşkê villages faced harsh response from YPG forces. One Turkish tank was destroyed during ensuing clashes.
At 09:00 this morning, Turkish forces attacked the headquarters of self-defense forces in Qere Baba village in Efrîn's Raco district. The howitzer and mortar attack was harshly responded by YPG forces. Turkish army also shelled the villages of Tel Cica, Tel Madiq, Samuqa, Meranaz, Bêluniyê and Tal Rıfat town with howitzer, artillery and tank fire.
At 16:30 Wednesday afternoon, Turkish army attempted to attack the self-defense forces in Şilteht village in Efrîn's Bilbile district with a panzer. YPG and self-defense forces targeted and hit the panzer with RPG7 weapon.
Earlier this evening, Turkish forces moved to cross into the Gir Beşkê village of Dirbesîyê city with the goal of invasion. The attempt was thwarted by YPG forces who also destroyed a tank that attempted to cross the border near Çetelê village.
Meanwhile, people in Dirbesîye have prepared themselves to mount self-defense against attacks of the Turkish army.
Incredible arrogance and he is convinced nobody will say or do a thing. He is now the Erdogan the Islamist Dictator of the New Ottoman Empire of the sky.
Turkey is of course a NATO member?
Syria/Turkey Ping
President Trump needs to direct the arming of our Kudish allies with anti-tank & anti-aircraft weapons. The Turks are NOT America’s friend.
One Turkish tank was destroyed during ensuing clashes.
Globalists are dying to go to war with Russia.
Maybe this will be their chance though i dont think there are any russian soldiers in that area?
are there?
I am calling contacts in D.C. with Congress, they have to demand Trump stand up to this with Turkey.
There were. I saw no mention of them here.
However the video I saw today used an RPG7. It probably came from the Russians.
Exactly what my Syrian Kurd friends have asked for.
They literally told me that unless someone cuts Erdogan’s hand, he will keep coming back.
If the Russians gave them TOW weapons like I saw used in a video. Turkey will get bolder with not action on our part.
I’m not sure that condemnation will end this, only force or the credible threat of force.
Here is a collection of pic and vids I made a few minutes ago:

One woman killed in Turkish air attack:
Destan/Diljin Ararat an amazing YPJ heroine who martyred yesterday by #TerroristTurkey airstrikes. Hear her words https://twitter.com/AzadiRojava/status/857353967466143746
The village names given are all Turkish. Is this happening in Turkiye?
No, but very near the border. Firing across the border.
It is new for them to be challenged. I suspect the Russians gave them TOW weapons.
They have killed 2 tanks and 1 Howitzer so far. Rumors of 2 more tanks.
I saw video of on of the kills.
Turkey is not accustomed to being fired upon. They got crap kicked out of them in Al Bab by ISIS.
I hope just incidents and a few deaths keeps this in check with warnings. Open battle will not be pretty.
Erdogan stole the Referendum, he’s copying Slick Willie, wagging the dog.
here is a map, it may be the one you mentioned though.

Will be readable then.
To me they are readable. That’s how I know it is Turkish. I don’t remember much of the language now because I have not spoken it since I was 11 years old. I can read it for pronunciation of words, though. I did grammar school in Istanbul.
Gotcha. The report must be from the Turkish side of the border with Turkish names. It is not just Turkish spellings of Arabic names. The names given are Turkish. I suppose that would be a natural thing as that was all once Turkish dominions. When the Transition to the Republic occurred there was calculation as to what parts of the empire could be held on to and what parts that could be held were worth the effort. Aleppo was put on the debit side of the ledger, and the territory around it.
Well you certainly have the edge on me.
It is amazing who you run into here. Long ago I was following the #IranElection phase on twitter and ran into some real experts on FR that spoke Farsi. Machine translation in that is very bad.
Similar situation in Arabic. There are some here who are fluent enough to recognize the regional dialects from the text. To me that is amazing.
I feel strange cheering for a defeat of the Turkish Army. I grew half up in Istanbul and have read a lot of Turkish history and biographies of Ataturk and his colleagues and have sympathized with at least the Republic. It took me a while to accept that it was all gone, that the Army had been eviscerated and was no longer the Constitutional Guardian of the Republic. I defended Turkiye on FR against the frantic demands that Turkiye must apologize for the Armenian pogrom because it would be like requiring the United States to apologize for English atrocities in the 16and 1700s. But now the country is reverting. The Republic was an interlude of rationality.
