“That to me is troublesome to give that extraordinary power, which, essentially, is unlimited power, at least in most cases, to the government,” Roberts added....
He’s joking right?
No, not joking. He is showing us the inside of his coat which he turned way back on obamacare. When I read that he was taking Dilantin I asked why on earth he was appointed to anything that would have outside pressures. One characteristic of long term Dilantin is evaporation of will power. I was on it for 13 years. Since then I have compared notes with others and observed others. Dilantin kills will power. It becomes very difficult to deny someone something. Pressure to make an absurd ruling will result in an absurd ruling.
That power bothers him. Obamacare? Not a bit. The homo.
Unlimited power? That just means that he has an issue with federal law. But of course that’s nothing new, with him. For someone as intelligent as you would expect a SC justice to be, he certainly doesn’t seem to understand that Congress legislates, his only role is to interpret according to the plain meaning.
That would be like in sports where there is a review process of a critical play. The point is to get the correct call.
If the government can give citizenship to a person it should also be able to take it away from that person if a mistake was made.
