If not May, there is always June. If not June, them July. The Republicans have been promising to repeal obamacare since at least 2010. The secret is that the Republicans want it[obamacare] to remain in force as bed as the Democrats do. A lot of Republicans were elected on the “Elect me and I will repeal obamacare” lie.
What a lot of these people don’t realize is that Trump is the relief valve: if he doesn’t relieve some of these stresses, there’s going to be an explosion, and it’ll be ugly. -— The BEST case is that we get a “radical anti-corruption Constitutionalist” in as President, but chances are that a worse case is going to be had, from someone put into power via popular mandate willing to run roughshod over the law/constitution [which will be excused because “he’s our guy”] to flat-out civil war.
In short, the population is getting REALLY tired of “business as usual”. (And that’s why “drain the swamp” has caught on so well as a slogan.)
