Border fences work
Conservative Review ^ | 01/25/2017 | Daniel Horowitz

Yes, border fences work. And that is exactly why the political class is so stridently intent on opposing the construction of a full double-layered fence or any effective barrier at the border.

The bipartisan open borders cartel is all in favor of discussing sundry forms of “border security,” especially if it will afford them the political cover to pass amnesty. But the one tangible form of border security they will never support, and, in fact, will pull out all stops to prevent, is the completion of the border fence.

..

Border fences work … just look at San Diego and Israel.

A really good detailed article on the effectiveness of border fences.

Released in January, but not posted on FR.

Very relevant today.

Remove all forms of security on capital hill until we have border security...

Trump can just stay in Trump tower while immigrant gangs burn down DC for all I care.

If we supposedly cannot afford to secure the country, we also cannot afford to secure DC...

Maybe we can also invite some Canadians down with matches and do a recreation of 1812....

Burn it all down or build the damned wall

A wall is a fine idea but we still NEED internal enforcement. Many illegal aliens come by plane and either violate the terms of their visas by working when not authorized or by overstaying.

I’m sure someone will bring it before a judge at some point and like with sanctuary city funding, keeping deadly “refugees” out, etc, the courts will block Trump on this.

Perhaps we should bow before judges.

They have as much power as kings.

The border fence (aka "wall") is one of the very best election/reelection topics that we Conservatives have for for at least the next two national elections.

Get the Dems/progressives/socialists/Marxists to come out against the fence? Our candidates now have election ad soundbites that will take them toward victory.

Related: another good re-election topic for GOPers to pursue ? Amnesty for illegal aliens, of course.

Amen. More than 40% of the illegals came through an airport and had a temporary visa. E-verify and strict workplace enforcement are a lot less expensive than a wall. If the illegals cannot work here and do not get any handouts they will be gone. Go ahead and build the wall where it is practical, but interior enforcement will get most of the illegals out of here.

Also, when Jeff Sessions looked into the cameras and said “Do not come here illegally. You will be arrested and deported.” he did a tremendous amount of good. For years the Bushes and 0bama have been ringing the dinner bell for more and more illegals to come.

“So do armed BP with orders to take no prisoners.”

And probably a whole cheaper.

Border fences are necessary because we have politicians on both sides of the aisle parroting each other with the lie that “our immigration system is broken” and our “leaders” decide for themselves which laws they choose to enforce instead of following existing law until such time as it is changed by Congress. But they can’t do it that way because there is too much opposition nationwide so they play these games, like saying “Dreamers” are hear by no fault of their own so the laws should be ignored. Poppycock!! Follow the law, as you swore to, until such time as it is changed.

Here’s the reality.

Trump just lost his border wall.

But, but, but...

Let me repeat. He just lost his border wall. See me in 2018 and it will be same same.

And if the gate is closed. Ever notice how today's LIBERAL newspapers were not so liberal in the past?
