Arizona’s economy beats out those of 34 states and earns high marks in categories measuring, among others, GDP growth, share of fast-growing firms and share of high-tech jobs.

Ouch,.... that's going to irratate some folks,"8^0) lol

We used to live in Arizona. As soon as we had the money, we fled that hellhole.

Housing is NOT affordable, thanks to all the Californicators (as they’re called in AZ) flooding in, causing real estate prices to skyrocket.

As for education? Please! As just one example, a friend of mine was entering college, and was nervous about having to take algebra—because she had never taught algebra in her high school! And she went to a “good” school (”good” being a relative term in that state).

The cost of living is ridiculous there, in terms of insurance, utilities, and the like, esp. in Scottsdale. Car insurance rates are particularly horrendous, given the high rate of car accidents and the number of expensive cars in the area, which increases your chances of being in an accident with a car that costs a lot more money to repair.

And Arizona is one of the places being hardest hit by the illegal alien invasion, even in Scottsdale. You go too far south in Scottsdale, and you’ll find gang activity. Even parts of north Scottsdale are close to north Phoenix, where you’ll find higher crime. In fact, both times I was nearly the victim of violent crime in Arizona, were when I was visiting Scottsdale. Thank God for pepper spray!

Years ago, we moved to “flyover” country, and were astounded by how much cheaper everything is. The only thing that’s higher here are some groceries.

I don’t know who wrote this article, but they either need to visit some areas that really ARE good places for families, or else stop snorting so much cocaine.

16th best in the nation would be worth bragging about. 16th best in Arizona is a tad less impressive. But good on them that they’re not ranked lower.

As for the link in the article, it almost makes me think that the article itself is little more than an ad for WalletHub’s website. The link does not go to the city ranking list, just to WalletHub’s home page. Not going to go clicking through their site to hunt for what should have been hotlinked in the actual article.

I've only visited the Southwest once...Nevada and Arizona.Very impressive countryside for sure.I'm glad I got to see it.The drive from Vegas to Death Valley, and Death Valley itself, were *very* impressive.

However I can't see myself ever living in sand and 110 degree temps.

16th best (fine print ‘in Arizona’) really doesn’t sound like much to brag about.

Apparently decent temps because of altitude but... waaaaay too close to the Southern Border.
Being an Eastern guy I don’t know if I could get used to sand and bare rocks.
Post, Great Wall of Trump maybe looking into.
