They aren’t going to be given a choice to keep them or not...period. Now China may take over but Kims got no choice...he burned that bridge already.
NK has no choices. They are bad actors who must be terminated, under any and all circumstances.
Well then, let’s nuke them now and get it over with.
Even China finally recognized the fact that NK Nuke could hit Beijing in just a few minutes..............
I just don’t see any way N.K. voluntarily giving up the nukes, too much loss of face at both an internal political level and external political level.
We just have to admit they must be forcible removed. Sooner will be easier than later. Later being they have even more warheads and reliable delivery vehicles.
It’ll be ugly all around, but we’re balls deep now and N.K. promises have never panned out.
It is a little bit hopeful that fat boy opted for artillery practice as opposed to a nuclear test or ICBM launch.

Both North Korea and Iran want nuclear weapons for the same reason. No nuclear armed state has ever been invaded, lost territory, or been forced into an unfavorable peace. These terrorist states know that if the US or anyone else were to take definitive action against them, there is always the risk however slight, that they could strike back at their attacker with a nuclear weapon. The task is to prevent them from obtaining such weapons in the first place. Needless to say that since 1992, the US has not had the fortitude to employ the necessary measures that would have prevented Iran or North Korea from obtaining such weapons. Now the world has to live with this reality.
Cornered predators, even once they see there is no hope of winning, will fight furiously to the end, and only stop when life is ebbing away.
There is nowhere for Kim Jong-Un to retreat to. He must be prepared to fight where he is. And the country has been preparing for over six decades, now.
Sieges and blockades work. If they are applied and maintained.
The only solution that can MAYBE be agreed to is this...We have a unilateral negotiation...Tillerson to KJU...that is four sentences long: If you launch or use a nuke...you will be turned into plasma. That's a promise. We will nuke you until you glow. Have a nice day.
The only other option is military force...and we are not anywhere near that right now. When you see dependents and US citizens moved out of the RoK...and Seoul evacuated...then it draws near. Until then...it's all bravado and posturing.
The precedent these dictators see is India and Pakistan. Only once they had nukes were they granted “first world” status diplomatically. We might have anticipated that was a poor precedent but during the Cold War it seemed to be a less important thing.
Kim's days are numbered, and it's not a very high number.

Why should they? Have they used nukes or chemical weapons on anyone? Invaded anyone recently? There’s is the evidence that they have a presence in over 70 different countries with a total of over 800 foreign military bases....oh....wait....that’s the U.S.
I think the doubt Trump is trying to insinuate into the mind of Kim Jung Un is that were it to happen that our intelligence could accurately place him for a few hours he might discover the first indication that 59 cruise missles were coming would be when the first arrived. Try putting yourself in his place.
From our perspective, having killed Jung Un with 59 or so cruise missles his generals probably would not be terribly interested in going to war. IOW, we have nothing to lose by launching them as long as we are successful. So poor Kim will never, ever again get a good night’s sleep. In fact, were I him I would not stay in the same location for more than an hour or so.
That is itself a problem. Start with a guy that is batshit crazy and keep him awake for months. That is a recipe for disaster right there. So the sooner we can get a good fix on his 20 the sooner we can take the sick bastard out and be done with this.
For decades CHina used the Norks as a negotiating chip. It was all upside for them. Now it is clear the thing they fear about North Korea is 20 million Koreans refugees flowing over their borders. Things have changed. The Norks used to be an asset for China. Now they are 100% liability. So that puts us in a position we have not ever been in before. Fact is we have been at war with North Korea for almost 70 years.
And in reality...taking him out is the only solution. We may need to outsource that to the Chicoms or the Ruskies though.
I would not be surprised if Trump does not want to be encumbered by even the suggestion that he had incurred an obligation to Russia or China for “handling Kim for us”. If I were him I would not accept that. I note we now have a submarine “close in” that carries 154 cruise missles. If Kim parks his fat ass somewhere that can be seen by satellite for several hours we could draw our War on the Korean Peninsula to a close!
Hire the Israelis to take him out.
