While Democrats and Republicans go for each other’s throats on domestic problems, the nation's defense is one thing they absolutely have to get together on and allocate whatever funds it will take to recruit the best and the brightest, and bring defensive hardware up to and past anything any other nation on the planet has in their arsenal.

Sadly, republicrats are hesitant to work with the dementocrats while the dementocrats basically refuse to work with the republicrats and especially with Trump. Let's not waste control of the Oval office and both houses. Probably they will though.

People don’t understand what arming the public can be. During WW II, one of the major reasons the Japanese didn’t massively invade the continental US was because they checked records and found that a huge amount of people had hunting licenses, thus armed. They didn’t want to walk into getting their heads taken off by sheer numbers.
