Ed Mullins, president of the NYPDs Sergeants Benevolent Association, slammed New York Mayor Bill de Blasio and NYPD Commissioner James ONeil for lashing out at Attorney General Jeff Sessions for a Friday Justice Department statement relating to the citys non-compliance with federal immigration law and crime.
Mullins said in a statement issued Friday that Sessions is absolutely correct to hold New York and other jurisdictions accountable for their so-called sanctuary policies.

Unions can cause a lot of trouble. That’s for sure. But here’s one instance where unions can be a good thing. A union leader can speak out when everyone else is too cowed - or blind - to say anything.
Wonder if he will be fired for not towing the line.
Not a chance! If the NYPD Sergeants walked off the job, the department would shut down. For once, it's nice to see a union do something useful.
