It sure looks like the worldwide media is pulling out all the stops for Macron. Every angle. Every detail.
Right before our eyes he is slowly but surely being transformed into the hottest thing on stage right now. Almost how the media gushed over Obama, or how the Canadian media gushed over Trudeau. The media is actively trying to drown out and overwhelm Le Pen by making Macron into a rock star for the yutes to rally behind.
Don’t tell me you’re surprised. Macron, while a political newbie, is very much French establishment. He is a former Socialist and a former advisor to President Hollande.
The establishment has already closed ranks around him. I do expect him to win, but Mme Le Pen will make a real contest of it.
I consider Mme Le Pen and the FN to be the least bad option. Macron, oddly enough has some better policies than the FN. However, he is solidly pro-EU and establishment. Part of the same system that has undermined France for decades.
The FN, for all its flaws, would be a shock the system desperately needs.
