By positioning Fox slightly to the right of the other networks, he scoops up half the viewing public while all the rest divide the left half among them, each competing for a tiny slice.

It was smart businesswise. By shifting left, though, he now scraps for the same audience as the rest of them while leaving himself open for someone else to shift to the right of him and take his old audience.

Fox News has all the growth it’s going to get in the US and its viewers have no where else to go.

One America News? The day its production quality doesn’t look like a junior high AV club, it might be a competitor.

By moderating, you can put Fox News in overseas markets and grow that way.

Fox totally on the dark side leaves an opening for MSNBC. Get rid of that Rachel thing and a few others and replace them with Deplorables and it’s doable.
