If the mandate doesn't go away, Obamacare doesn't go away. Think about it, those state exemptions. Assume Samantha lives in California and artificial tanning is covered by the mandate. She moves to Georgia and it isn't. She sues. Will Georgia have to cover her for what she was covered for in CA, since ObamaCareRedux is a national law?
I can't believe President Trump is this stupid. I hope it isn't that the "win" is more important than the substance.

If the mandate doesn't go away, Obamacare doesn't go away. The mandate has already gone away by virtue of President Trump's EO that the IRS not enforce it.
But, of course, an EO can be rescinded, so it's important that such measures are followed up legislatively...

The win IS more important than the substance.
The money for everything else comes from Ryan’s arrangement for savings in the scoring.
There is no Trump agenda of any kind without this.

Umm Obamacare is national law but the insurance companies are still state regulated and unless you can get a national health insurance dont worry about it. The policy is a contract.
