Do you make your grits regular or al dente?

No self respecting southerner uses instant grits

Lol.. that one made me laugh because I never heard of al dente growing up in the south. I eat my pasta al dente and my grits creamy, no sugar, preferably mixed with my eggs. Low country shrimp n grits aren’t bad either.
