Nigel Farage, the leader of the Brexit movement in England, told his radio audience Friday that if Marine Le Pen wins the French election it will mean the end of the European Union.
A last-minute Odoxa poll taken in France after the ISIS attack, that left one police officer dead and two others injured, suggested that Mr Emmanuel Macron was still on course to come first in Sunday’s first round, with Marine Le Pen gaining ground just behind and through to the May 7 runoff.

I had to laugh at one of the talking heads claiming that the destruction of the EU meant the end of NATO and the end of Europe. Uh....up until s few years ago there was NO EU and there was civilization, a strong Europe and NATO existed
I'll disagree with the "poor leadership" part. The insanity is what we USED to call the Illuminati, ShadowGovernent, Global Banking Elite, are running the government the Rothchilds and their cohorts have always dreamed of. Their policies are insane, but their initiatives to achieve them are well thought out. They despise strong national government and cultural identity, because those are the tools mankind needs to give the EU leaders the ending they so justly deserve.
Am I exaggerating, going full tilt crazy conspiracy theory? No. France HAS to vote them out, or civilization is doomed. Look at Greece, England, and the constant push back Trump is getting. These folks don't accept elections. Maybe the French one could tip the scales and the EU elite can be driven from power. They aren't going unless they have to, elections be damned!
I doubt she will win as well. That country just has too many leftists and leftists worship the God of self destruction. There is not limit, no threshold of terror attacks that will ever make them leave their God. I point to New York city where I unfortunately grew up. You would *think* after 3,000 people perished in their own city on 911 they just might be a little more concerned with security? Oh hell no. In fact they voted for a guy who actually wants to protect the terrorists: Bill De Blasio. Yes, protect and support them financially like the Boston marathon bombers. Tax payer funded terrorism!
Le Pen will not win. No matter who wins the sentiment will be very anti USA. Le Pen is as much a friend as is Russia

The EU was a bast@#$%ized concept to begin with. The Europeans elites (notice I didn’t say leaders) started forming the EU over 50 years ago in an attempt to counter balance the economic, military and social hegemony of the US. In short, they wanted to return Europe to its glory days of the 15th and 16th centuries. To do so they had to erase four centuries of wars, political in fighting and intermarriage and a host of other “minor issues”. Issues the US didn’t have to deal with.
The European Elites thought they could do this much like the European monarchies did back then - by simply issuing edicts and forcing them on their serfs.
These elites ignored the long term impacts of both the French Revolution (early 19th Century) and World War I (early 20th Century). IMHO watching the EU come apart will be like the collapse of the Holy Roman Empire (800 - 1806)but, hopefully without the wars, major and minor, that became part of that collapse.
PU - Peoples’ Union
EU was essentially founded as a counter to the USA. The USSR folded and the US was then the only world power. Clinton and Albright thought that was an awful situation and the EU came about. Albright alludes to that in her book (can’t recall the name). Had they been satisfied with a federation of states concept I believe it could be successful and survive. Instead they made the member countries (states) subservient to a powerful central government. I am surprised it has lasted as long as it has.
Our US central has been moving in the same direction, that is, making states more subservient and WDC more powerful. We, too must reverse that and return power to the states.IMO.

And then there was the problematic dichotomy of northern vs. southern Europe. Two totally different cultures. As you may recall, PIGS is the acronym that refers to the southern European countries of Portugal, Italy, Greece, and Spain who were infamously notable for their massive and persistent debts. This was an endemic condition that was never going to change.
Prayers for La Pen then. Though the recent shenanigans with double registration and such leave me pessimistic.
The EU is too full of progressive scandinavian types.
