Haven't played a Call of Duty game since the original Xbox. Just never cared for the modern setting the series came to adopt. A World War II-era entry, made for the current generation, might be enough to suck me into finally getting an Xbox One.

I played CoD World at War (the best of the series, IMHO) with my son last night. Man, I sucked. Lol

There was nothing wrong with Activision’s COD2. Call of Duty World War 2. They polluted the later COD games with too much visual clutter & bells and whistles...COD2 was the best and most intuitive, imo.

They are trying to make inroads on the “Battlefield” franchise? Good luck...”BF” has had good WW-II, Vietnam, etc. games for awhile now, starting with “Battlefield: 1942” in 2002. Loved that game!

Call of Duty Infinite Warfare is getting panned widely, and EA’s Battlefield 1 is a huge hit. The folks at EA have announced the next Battlefield is going to be WWII themed and will be released in 2018.

I’ve been play COD since my original XBox. Got a 360 now. I’ll check this game out.
