TEL AVIV – U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said on Friday North Korea’s recent statements were provocative but had proven to be hollow in the past and should not be trusted.
“As far as North Korea’s latest words (are concerned), I think we’ve all come to hear their words repeatedly, their word has not proven honest,” Mattis told a news conference in Tel Aviv.
On Thursday the official newspaper of North Korea’s ruling Workers’ Party, Rodong Sinmun, threatened the United States with a “super-mighty preemptive strike” that it said would wipe out “not only the U.S. imperialists’ invasion forces in South Korea and its surrounding areas but the U.S. mainland and reduce them to ashes.”

A lot of people want us to go in and take this man out...we don’t need to, there is China, Japan and Russia that are there to take him out...we need to ‘show’ support for these countries, which we are doing by having our ships off the coasts...
I’m not for going in with boots on the ground unless the situation is really needed...the same with Syria, Russia is handling that one...we have one with ISIS and we are handling that one...they still are not able to get near where the M.O.A.B landed, even if the fake media, talking heads and radio show hosts would like us to believe differently...

I think that's the plan - because we still can't afford to be seen launching a first strike. I presume the US military feels they have the capacity to decapitate the regime in retaliation and has advised President Trump of that.

My friends on the left are breathlessly exclaiming Trump is going to get us into a war.
I show them a picture that illustrates where we are already at war under the last guy.
They then exclaim they don’t believe Trump should be attacking Syria.
I tell them that’s true and while we may agree on that issue apparently Nancy, Di Fi and a few other prominent democrats believe we should.
So what are we going to do?
