The law allows the VA to take a vet’s firearms if he requests treatment for PTSD. The end result is that fewer vets will request treatment. I know several guys with PTSD and they have problems sleeping and loud noises make them anxious. Should that be grounds for them to loose their civil rights?

Elected officials swear to uphold the Constitution, not subvert it.

Recreational hunting is a powerful way to integrate returning soldiers back into civilian life. It is an acceptable outlet for their skills which demands patience and discipline. It is also an opportunity to develop social connections and build friendships.

If returning soldiers are prevented from having firearms, this beneficial activity will be denied to them.
