Sounds like Putin wants to support the North Korean dictator.

A mass exodus of refugees? If they leave North Korean, they might possibly be fed...

China has 150,000 troops on its borders. South Korean/US has quite a few troops on the DMZ border with North Korea (since Korean War).

Now Russia is moving troops to its borders with North Korea.

I certainly hope there not be any hunting accidents [ /sarcasm ]

This is shaping up like the Battle of Five Armies.

As likely as anything, if North Korea does something stupid and is attacked, China and Russia are likely to do their best to not let anyone leave North Korea so they can keep it contained.

We haven’t had US troops on the DMZ for years.

I think neither Russia nor China care as much about keeping Kim in power as they do about keeping a modern, productive, westernized South Korea from expanding into the north to their borders. They like having a buffer zone more than they like North Korea per se.

There were never troop movements of this size before when NK sabre rattled.

Looks like some war is gonna go down on the Korean peninsula and soon.

Putin may use stopping refugees as an excuse for moving troops there. Or that simply may be the reason.

They’re creating supply chains. Putin would love to supply NK with weapons and supplies to use against us. That’s partly why we need a WW3 like mentality if we’re going to go down this path. If the world won’t rally with us against NK and Iran and whoever else is aligned with them, we should consider other options IMO.

The fat boy will die. NK and SK will reunify. There will be no war.

It’s near Vladivostok.
I didn’t realize that Russia had a common border with North Korea.

Russia wants to defend its border against the fallout from a war by the US against Korea
Such as a rush of civilians and defectors and deserters trying to get out or the little madman even striking out at Vladivostok to widen the conflict

China has already moved to make sure none enter their territory setting up for a slaughter by North Korea of its own people trying to escape and penned at the borders

Sounds like another reason to sanction Russia
/ Sarc

Notice that “ Putin sends troops” but “ China also, sends 150,000”
Shouldn't that be “ China and Russia reinforce borders “
Or “ Xi sends troops, Russia also boosts border troops”

Are there ‘troops on border’ of the MUSLIM countries that abut Russia?

Surely there are ‘refugees’ that are fleeing those places as well.

Putin has the same concerns we do. He doesn’t need millions of poverty stricken, uneducated refugees streaming over his southern border looking for assistance.

I never seen mention just how many Chinese troops are in North Korea at the moment. Have you seen numbers?
