A U.S. charity worker returned home after President Trump and aides quietly worked to secure her release from from an Egyptian jail after nearly three years, according to the Washington Post.
Aya Hijazi, a U.S. citizen, her Egyptian husband Mohamed Hassanein and four other humanitarian workers were freed after weeks of behind-the-scenes negotiation by the Trump administration.

Originally from Falls Church, Va., Hijazi was working in Cairo with the Belady Foundation. The Obama administration previously lobbied al-Sissi’s government for her release, but was unsuccessful.

Thank you Parley Baer. I had stumbled across that comment, and it was interesting to me.
I’m not sure what Trump offered that Obama didn’t, but it does make me think Trump was either more dedicated, or simply more effective.
