Early this year, Missouri became the 28th state to enact a Right to Work statute, thereby preventing workers from being fired just because they wont pay dues to the union that officially represents them. (Its worth noting that very few of the workers who are in unions have ever had the opportunity to vote yes or no on union representation, a point Akash Chougule of Americans for Prosperity makes in his Wall Street Journal op-ed, A Union Card Shouldnt be an Heirloom.)
As has been the case in every instance when a state has adopted Right to Work in recent years (Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, West Virginia, Kentucky), Big Labor has tried to derail the law and thus protect against any decrease in the inflow of dues money. Its tactic in Missouri was to use the states ballot initiative process to put the question before the voting public in next years general election.
Doing so is legally unobjectionable. The problem is that union forces attempted to kill the Right to Work law through vague, deceptive wording about the initiative measures.

The union simply gives them more money. I lived in WV.. which was a union slavery state. The mindset of the majority of WV residents, in coal country, is selling their soul to the company store.
Joe Manchin co wrote the most vicious gun grabbing legislation of Obamas eight, yet WV still loves him. He voted for Gosuch, so he is true politician whore.. I know that’s strong words, but he will fry the freedoms of citizens if it pays better. Talk about the art of the deal.. Manchin is well practiced, just like his union and corporate cronies.
Politician or whore. Which “profession” is more honorable?
A worth successor to Robert Bird.
Whores at least work!
