With China, and domestically in his own “economic” plans, Trump is behaving every bit just LIKE the Chinese - managing a nationalist mercantilist economy. That is not a “small and limited government” idea. Trump appears poised to USE the massive and deep regulatory state as he wants to, not to dismantle it.

Never realized Pat was such an isolationist. Sadly, previous administrations have either caused these problems, made them worse or kicked them down the road for someone else to deal with.
If NK is indeed getting close to having ICBMs that will reach Cali and a leader that desires to do that and is nutty enough to do that, how can we ignore it? Even if Cali secedes(which prob won’t happen), they’re still attached to us, upwind of half of us. It would still be teotwawki.
10,000,000 muslims have been displaced and the previous admin, along with several euro leaders and the UN decided to disperse them among the West. SUPPOSEDLY, the plan, according to the UN, is to repatriate them when their “homelands” are safe to go back to. Trump wants to send them back and in fact has done so with a few thousand Somalis.
Trade with China will get better for us. That’s been Trump’s biggest issue since the 80s. He’s not going to forget that regardless of whether or not he uses some official label.
How can America be great again until we take care of some loose ends?
Guess we could build up some massive defense systems(skynet?) and ignore the world. Between Iran, China, Russia, NK, we’d probably need a dome over the entire USA. Minus Cali if they secede.

The media doesn’t get Trump, the dems don’t get Trump, most of the GOP don’t get Trump, the Chinese don’t get Trump and many FReepers don’t get Trump.
Trump will fight for everything he ran on, he just temporarily shifts on a position as he positions whoever he is dealing with.
The Chinese are a good example. Trump knows it is best to deal with N.K. now before they develope nukes that will be real threat, and there isn’t much time before that happens.
The Chinese will put pressure on Kim and that is needed, but the Chinese can’t and won’t do enough. Once Trump has reigned in Kim ( no easy task but there is a plan in place, Trump is always thinking 8 moves ahead) he will pick up Chinese currency manipulation and unequal trade policies again, it is his signature goal going back at least 20 yrs.
