And if you don’t have the faith to stand on, you’re not going to see clearly enough to believe the evidence. I guess that’s the same as what you said.

If there is evidence, where is the faith? Faith by necessity means there is no proof. Hebrews 11:1: Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Simply put, the biblical definition of faith is trusting in something you cannot explicitly prove. If there is evidence, Heb 11:1 commands you to dismiss it.
