On Friday, April 14, the prosecution added a fourth charge to Bilal Askaryar, the NPR contributor and refugee who was accused of assaulting Secretary of Education Betsy Devos.
Based on the criminal information filed on Friday, the four charges are:
1. Assault on a police officer
2. Failure to obey officer
3. Simple Assault
4. Unlawful Assembly - Disorderly Conduct
A Metropolitan DC police report indicates that count #3 relates to the assault of a cabinet member, presumably SecEd Betsy DeVos. Last month, Askaryar rejected a plea deal in this case. White House records indicate that Askaryar visited the Obama White House three times. After Askaryar allegedly assaulted SecEd Betsy DeVos, the U.S. Marshals have provided her with security. Ms. DeVos is the only cabinet secretary under protection of the U.S. Marshal Service.
The lefties are off the rails.
Throw the little leftist in jail.
Sounds like a good opportunity for a torture penalty.
This POS is a refugee? If convicted he should be shipped back to where ever he came from.
Excellent point. Federal crime, serve the time and back to whatever radical hellhole you came from.
02/11/2017 Attorney Appointed/ Attorney AKINTOYE, HANNAH representing Defendant (Criminal) ASKARYAR, BILAL A as of 02/11/2017
02/11/2017 CJA Contribution Ordered
After a long stay in prison, he should be deported. Should count himself lucky he wasn’t shot and killed assaulting a government official.
“If convicted he should be shipped back to where ever he came from.”
Regardless of conviction, deport it to Somalia. No matter WHERE it came from.
He likely sees himself as a liberal martyr that will gain much street cred for his actions.
Could happen, but doubtful, or there would be a high level leftist lawyer or three representing him.
so, can his citizenship be yanked ?
Shoot him first. Then drop him off in a gator infested swamp.
If this s had happened to a Democrat Cabinet member, the culprit would be publicly flogged and castrated.
Interestingly, one of Askaryar's attorney has supported an Islamic terrorist in the past. In 2003, Aiysha Hussain said that she wanted to raise awareness of "the situation of American Muslims in the U.S. [and] Dr. Sami Al-Arian's case" and raise money for Al-Arian's legal defense. In 2006, Al-Arian pleaded guilty to contributing services benefiting a terrorist group. Al-Arian was deported after serving his sentence.
Thanks for the information.

Ah, me thinks you’re going to get flamed for that remark, but it didn’t offend me.
Should count himself lucky he wasnt shot and killed assaulting a government official.

Too bad he wasn’t.

Maybe that will still be arranged. Street justice is always a possibility.
