Acclaimed Chef Angela Dimayuga, who has restaurants in San Francisco and New York City, isnt buying Ivanka Trumps brand of working woman empowerment and publicly slammed a freelance writers request to do an interview for the first daughters lifestyle website.
Dimayuga, of Mission Chinese Food in San Francisco and New Yorks Lower East Side, told the Huffington Post this week that the irony of the request left her screaming on a number of levels, including when the writer billed the website as a non-political platform of empowerment for modern working women.
The writer, Adi Heyman, tried to flatter the 31-year-old San Jose native with praise, saying she wanted to spotlight her as a strong female entrepreneur.
I would love to conduct an interview (via telephone/email) with you spotlighting your work as a strong female entrepreneur, Heyman wrote in a direct message to Dimayaga.
Dimayuga said the email came during the middle of lunch service and she sat on it a bit before collaborating with friend and activist Shakirah Simley on a public response.
As the queer daughter of immigrant parents, she felt it was also important to speak up against President Donald Trumps anti-immigrant, anti-woman and anti-LGBTQ policies.

I’ve yet to hear anyone name what those antiwoman, antilgbt initiatives are that Trump has in mind.

It’s so obvious this is hate speech........./s
queer daughter of immigrant parents”
Oh surprise surprise. Born in the USA Philippine lesbian has so very very much to complain about.
People still think he grabbed p#ssies and assaulted women against their wills.
Not to mention "anti-immigrant" policies... not to be confused with "anti-illegal-immigrant" policies.
never....heard...of...her....but I’m just a nobody.
Does everybody who writes something rude in the comment section of a website get a headline in the newspaper now a days?
The only reason why Angela Dimayuga took such offense, and Martha Ross decided to highlight the incident in her report on the Mercury News site, is that both Angela Dimayuga and Martha Ross are rabid anti-Semites whose anger erupted upon discovering that Adi Heyman (who requested the interview) had married into an Orthodox Jewish family and converted to Judaism.
I would certainly hope that anyone who might even consider dining at Mission Chinese Food understands that their celebrity chef, Angela Dimayuga, hates Jews with a burning passion. I would also expect that readers of the Mercury News will join me in denouncing Martha Ross for giving voice to that vicious hatred in her column, and suggest that they also inform the Mercury News in no uncertain terms that having a bigot like Martha Ross as a member of their staff greatly tarnishes that media outlet’s reputation.
(I’ve been practicing reducing my IQ by 100 points and writing like a typical leftist - how well did I do?)
The only reason? Read from her email:
As a queer person of color and daughter of immigrant parents I am not interested in being profiled as an aspirational figure for those that support a brand and a President that slyly disparages female empowerment.
Whatever she may think about Jews is probably pretty far down the list. But even before sexuality or ethnicity enters the picture, the odds are pretty good that the average San Francisco woman of her age doesn't love anything or anyone Trump. Only 9% of San Franciscans voted for the president in the last election.
You either did not fully read my post or else you did not understand it.
But she probably kisses Chelsea Clinton’s ass and defends her stealing from a charity to fund her $3,0000,000 wedding.
The female chef is just another JEALOUS BITCH.
The trifecta!
Add “of color” in there, too. Geez, I quit watching the foodnetwork because practically every female looking chef was gay. Same with the men. And it’s guaranteed they’re demoncrat. Even Paula Deen, who got in trouble for wanting blacks dressed as waiters for some event kissed up Moo’s backside.
If that rude slime ball alcoholic and crack head, Anthony Bourdain, praises her... well, chalk up another mark against her.
“President Donald Trumps anti-immigrant, anti-woman and anti-LGBTQ policies.”
I’m not familiar with those policies. I wonder if she can elaborate or just shout talking points.
LOL!
