She didn’t do it for the publicity so it’s all good.

“Oh but had it been meshell.. They’d just be bubbling and all smiley face. Transparency that they can’t see, their own.”

If it had been the wookie, she would have preorganized it with the press and invited every friendly presser worldwide to the event. Movie stars would be there and the whole event would be catered with caviar, lobster, and kobe beef that was fed exclusively caviar and lobster

It may be that Melania is an incredible person who cares more about the plight of those women than she cares about being in the media spotlight. It's a wonderful, quiet statement she made. She gave recognition to what most of the elite ignore. That would be that in the shadows of their grandeur, there's tragedy and hardship that needs to be addressed.

I've been worshipful of Melania ever since that debate where she took on the task of giving loving care and attention to Ted Cruz's daughters, who were there on display.

If only Ivanka/Jared would go home to DC and Melania could fill her proper role.

Moosechelle could pass gas and “The View” would report it smelling of roses.

Her proper role is taking care of her son. This is what she and President Trump choose to do.

She's doing just fine. There is no defined role for the First lady.

“It is so nice to finally have a first lady who is a LADY.

We have waited 28 years, it was worth the wait.”

Twenty eight years? Nonsense.

Let’s not get carried away here.

“””””Yet, with the exception of the local Palm Beach Post and FootwearNews which focused on the shoes she wore to HomeSafe, no media reported on the First Lady’s visit.”””””

How trivial must your life be to care, or know, what kind of shoes someone wears?

Local media in south Florida is anti-Trump too. They hate DJT, and *always* find people who hate him. Their mission.

Exactly. 28 years? Hyperbole.

In my view, Laura and Barbara Bush were classy First Ladies. They were not an embarrassment to the nation like Mooch and HiLIARy were.

her (Melania's) proper role is taking care of her son

I agree with you. My sense it would be easier to do that if Ivanka weren't always taking the spotlight.

The MSM will turn anything Melania does into a POTUS-bashing opportunity, it doesn’t nave to be rooted in reality.
So she may as well do her thing and keep it low key.

Maybe that was the way it was planned. Is there
any indication the press was alert to the visit?

The family has been getting along just fine. No need for us to think we know best. We only see the externals.

I'm sure that Melania does not feel in any way diminished because of Ivanka. In fact, Ivanka may be the solution to Melania getting the privacy she desires.

:-)

If they really want that stuff covered, they’ve got to invite the press. Sorry.

I think in this instance the media blackout was to protect the privacy of the girls at the home, and I hope this is something we can all respect.

Thanks for photo, Liz. Are there others? Because Melania looks uncomfortable in this one—note the clenched hand.

I would not be surprised if we were to find out Soros money is being given to editors and producers of serval news outlets to behave the way they do.

Indeed—but then it is not something you can expect to get much press coverage. That’s all.
