Climate Scientists Spread Panic: ‘Ten Years’ to Save the Earth(OMG!!!!!)

In the latest in radical climate doomsaying, a new report warns that fossil fuel consumption will need to be reduced “below a quarter of primary energy supply by 2100” to avoid possibly disastrous effects on global temperatures.

In their report, titled “Pathways for balancing CO2 emissions and sinks,” a team of eight scientists warns that “anthropogenic emissions need to peak within the next 10 years, to maintain realistic pathways to meeting the COP21 emissions and warming targets.”

The statement was immediately repackaged by environmentalists to read: “Scientists say we have ten years to save the earth.”

As is always the case in studies of this sort, the scientists juggle dozens of variables, none of which is entirely predictable and which taken together tell us virtually nothing about the future of the environment.

OMG! OMG! Whatever shall we do? Oh, haven't we already been through the "Only Ten Years To Turn This Around" scenario already? As we all know it's really "What are you gonna do to save our grant money". If and when ole mother erf(if that's what you like) decides that she's had enough with humans and some sort of plague eradicates us, she'll just keep on circlin' the sun. Maybe a little worse for the wear but probably not.

Climate Scientists Spread Panic: ‘Ten Years’ to Save the Earth

Haven't they been saying this for what, the last 25 years or so?

They told us the tipping point was a few years ago. I suspect it will always be 10 years in the future until they get their way.

Hmmmmm ..???? Didn’t they tell us this same story when Gore was running for President.

Hmmmmm ..???? Seems to me we would have been destroyed by now.

OR ..???? “climate change” IS A HOAX. A SINISTER SCAM TO STEAL OUR MONEY AND CONTROL EVERYTHING WE DO.

DON’T BE IGNORANT AND FALL FOR THIS GARBAGE.

Funny how the so called “scientists” are never pressed on this issue. Their predictions were wrong and it would be nice for them to be honest admit that our technology cannot accurately predict global temperatures and climate.

Anyone remember Al Gore’s 2006 “10 year tipping point?” 2016 came and went and here we are, hurricane seasons have been less violent in that time and the sea level hasn’t measurable risen.

Polar bears still abound in great numbers and the arctic ice layer has thickened.

Some inconvenient truths.

The first and foremost criterion for a Scientific Theory is its usefulness as a tool. AGW has been able to accurartely predict nothing. It does not link to weather, Earth events, species extinction or anything. It is just guesses that look fancy.

It is a shame of Science it allowed the politicians to buy this corner of Earth Science just to give a POLITICAL tool to control people.

Nuke China and India, and every Islamic country back to the stone ages, that should accomplish that goal. About as valid a response as the dire warning is so likely to occur. Those Islamic countries are already in the stone ages so likely won’t miss the petro-fuel machines anyway, should any of them survive.

If we are serious about decarbonizing the economy, we could get serious about going nuclear. But the environmentalists regard the Yucca Mountain repository as a greater threat.

Back in 1989, Ted Danson, a movie actor, said something to the effect that we have 10 years of existence left because of pollution.

If it’s too hot; it’s climate change. If it’s too cold; it’s climate change. Would someone please tell me where all the automobile emissions were that caused the last ice age?

The Arctic ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot, according to a report tothe Commerce Department yesterday from Consulafft, at Bergen, Norway.

Reports from fishermen, seal hunters and explorers all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone. Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes. Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulf stream still very warm. Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared.

The above is from a November 2 article in the Washington Post. November 2 of 1922.

That date is legit. Even Snopes (reluctantly) admitted that the WaPo really did publish this in 1922.
