>I agree with that, except that its not something that Assad is trying to do - he has already done it. There are 5 mil Syrian refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey and Europe. Most of them are sunni and there is no way they will ever get back if Assad is still there.
Most of the people who left Syria for Europe are economic migrants not people fleeing war. And a good chunk of them are non Sunni as the Sunni rebels were and continue to murder every non Sunni they get their hands on.
>So the chemical weapons were stored at the Syrian Military Base where the planes took off from, and later, landed at.
This weapons were not ‘captured’, but were brought TO Syria OUT OF IRAQ many years ago.
The Shelf life of Saran gas is too short to have come from Iraq.
There’s a real story here, and it’s either AP fabricating stories or AP facilitating espionage.
There is something else that is monitored besides the aircraft movements recorded by surveillance satellites. There is the radio communications of the pilots and the ground communications that coordinate the aircraft operations. I think we got a pretty good picture of what happened and any other narrative is just an attempt to muddy the waters.
According to whom?
The Al-Qaeda psychopaths who control the village?
The anti-Assad “monitor” group, which is based in London?
Just over a week ago, Trump was threatening to order criminal investigations because of intelligence leaks.
One week later, after dozens of unsourced intelligence leaks that support Trump's Tomahawk missile attack, Trump doesn't seem to care about intelligence leaks at all.
It wasn’t VX. Those “aid” workers handled victims with gloves and didn’t die.
Re: “Never got the impression that Israelis views the Assad family as a negative for them.”
I’m agree, up to point.
Assad, who is interested in his own long term survival, has enabled and assisted Hezbollah, and its 60,000 missiles, in southern Lebanon.
“has enabled and assisted Hezbollah,”
Exact quote from Hezbollah leadership: “100% of our money comes from Iran.”
Hez does not exist because of Syria.
No, this goes back for decades. I never even heard of their being oil in the Golan before your post.
That may be huge in terms of what Israel uses rather than by other standards but Israel is intent on having it.
FWIW, I think if he didn't have doubts of his own he'd have done some real damage with those 59 Tomahawks.
JMHo, and everyone has one.

Hey is that cameraman walking through that “ sarin” gas attack zone in his bare feet?
Note the CW protective gear of those men walking around
I vote “ staged”
I presume drone coverage of a battle zone is not uncommon
” circumstantial” evidence seems very flimsy excuse to push war with Russia especially from our agencies who excel in disinformation to meet an agenda
Which is why that comment about assad being “ anti sunni” is inaccurate drivel given that sunni Arabs are the majority of Syria’s population and who lived in peace with other groups before the western imposed 2011 “ civil war”
Or maybe we are supposed to say “ on the other hand both ISIS and Al Qaeda are pro sunni and inviting exiles to come back to Syria... To fight for the caliphate”
There's no evidence that the Shayrat air base was used to store chemical weapons, in fact there's ample evidence that it did not. For example, no images of Syrian hazmat teams there after the missile strike and business as usual at the base less than 24 hours after the attack.
Also why doesn't the United States support a full investigation of this tragedy, which would include sending a team of chemical weapons experts to visit the site of the attack and the Syrian air base where it claims the CW was stored?
Re: Exact quote from Hezbollah leadership: 100% of our money comes from Iran.
I did not mention money.
Syria doesn’t have any money.
Almost 100% of Iran’s logistical support for Hezbollah is flown into Damascus, loaded onto trucks, and driven into Lebanon.
That is why many Israelis support the destruction of the Assad regime.
That, in my opinion, is a very dangerous idea, since Assad himself is rarely belligerent to Israel, and no one has any idea what kind of regime will replace Assad.
I have also wondered why no chemical bomb fragments have been found or photographed at the Syrian village.
Chemical weapons require an air burst, so there should be no crater or significant structural damage to buildings, and there should be bomb fragments scattered over a large radius.
Also, Trump has not explained why the USA military failed to destroy the alleged chemical weapons bunker at the Syrian air base.
Why are we afraid of killing Syrian Air Force personnel with their own chemical weapons?
Is Trump not concerned that Assad will use those alleged weapons again, against other defenseless citizens?
Have you seen this report?
The article states that the device had about 2 gallons of liquid capacity.
Could 2 gallons of Sarin, dispersed at this particular location, actually cause the number of deaths and injuries that have been claimed?
