Dave Koz and his sax turn this 2016 recording into a classic.
Tune in next week for George Gershwins most famous song, The Man I Love.
Watching now. I’d forgotten Moore was where the school was where those young children were killed.
I’ve been watching all these tornado videos and haven’t even checked on our birds tonight. Or on April and her adorable lil baby. LOL
I saw a short video of April and the baby an that’s all I want to see! I can’t get involved in any more drama! LOL!
That tornado that ripped through, killing the little kids, mowing down a hospital and tearing up trees and neighborhoods was about 2 miles from where the kids lived. I’m sure they were scared and couldn’t show it because they didn’t want to panic the girls. Callie was just a wee one then.
Thanks, unique.

No drama with April and her baby. That lil darling is healthy and happy.
Watching a video right now of that 2013 tornado now. A guy caught it just as it started forming and that sucker blew up past! He’s driving along behind it as it moves along and just reached a point he can’t go any farther. Big trees down across the highway.
If your kids were just two miles from that monster, they got an eyeful and they’ll never forget it. Had to be hard to keep a brave face for the girls.
At least they don’t have to worry about tornados now. Just have all that snow to contend with every winter. LOL
Major web site issues this evening....everything disappeared!! Panic city!!
Luv, my personal music guru has been working on it for a couple hours and things are coming back one at a time. When everything is found, I will copy everything to an external hard drive just in case. The web site guy said I did something in the control panel, but my guru, posing as me, said no way because she knows I don’t touch any buttons I don’t know. She finally hung up on him and is restoring things. This is soooooo far over my head.
Well, that’s just scary! I hope everything will be back where it belongs! I hate when IT people think they know it all!
I would have panicked too! I do when my router quits working. LOL!
Sit down, take a deep breath and get a nice cold soda and relax.
I’m sure they are relieved to not have to sit in that safe room any more, for sure.
Need to go to sleep now. Mustn’t bonk my noggin in the morning. LOL! See ya tomorrow!
I just got my Mom settled in bed with the TV. Today has been repeating over and over and over that the neighbor across the street is NOT putting up personal and inappropriate signs. She wanted me to call the police because he was harassing her with said signs. THERE ARE NO SIGNS, and the neighbor has no clue about any of this. Thank goodness she can’t really use the phone anymore. She cannot see to dial.
So after a trek to the mailbox, I can sit and relax.
Music bumps for all the songs in the Canteen.
You’re probably right. It must get a bit claustrophobic inside those things. And hot.
I hope it isn’t a Peaches night so you’ll be able to get a good night’s sleep. Have a great Easter! See ya tomorrow evening.

and some I can’t think of right now.
I always told my students that the mezzo-soprano and contralto roles were usually much more interesting characters than the coloratura. The roles were usually the “bad girl”! LOL!
I make a better “Carmen” than a virtuous and sweet-but-courageous Micaela.
One of my desert island DVDs is the 1984 film of "Carmen" with Placido Domingo and Julia Migenes, directed by Francisco Rosi. It's a French opera about Spain directed by an Italian in the style of an American movie musical.
"Chanson Boheme" from "Carmen"
This took my breath away when I saw it in the movies. At the end when the credits ran over "Habañera," no one left the theater until the film was completely done. It was hypnotic.
That is my favorite Carmen as well. While Julia may not have the most powerful or technically perfect Mezzo-Soprano voice, she was the perfect seductive Gypsy girl but had a chidlike nature that seemed to make Don Jose’s downfall look like HIS fault!
The scene where she taunts Don Jose, who wants to go back to his unit, by hiking up her dress is just amazing. It's tough to turn down such an offer.
Indeed. I was stunned by that scene when I first saw it, especially since it was loaned to me (on VHS) by my elderly, maiden Auntie! LOL!
Thanks, unique!
