The problem is that there is nothing that the Republicans can do, there was nothing the government could do to begin with, concerning health care coverage that will not make things worse. The proper course of action is to repeal it, explain to the American people that government has failed, and then work with the private market to come up with a private sector solution, or at least improvements. But that is the last thing the President or Congress will do.
Well, that might be the only thing that saves their bacon in 2018... or not. The Democrats are such evil demons that it seems unlikely to me that the People will let them anywhere near the halls of power for quite some time, until they get their head straight.
