It’s not enough to just elect people with R jerseys.
Corker, Flake, Hatch and Heller all voted for Rubio’s Gang of amnesty and need to be replaced before they do it again.
Large numbers of Democrats in R jerseys in the House need to be Cantorized.
The swamp of Congress is up to us to drain.
CANTORIZE YOUR WEASELS, AMERICA!
The media hypes these elections, like they will do with the midterms, to energize their base (liberal, extremists, democrats, the hate the USA crowd, etc.). They hope to peel off a few seats this way.
About 30 Senate seats up next year...about 20 of which are currently held by Rats...and at least a few of *them* are in states that DJT carried easily.
Pass Trumpcare and all these predictions go right out the window.
MarkWayne is not particularly popular with Republican's in the district because he is part of the Liberal Republican leadership's group. The confrontation at Jay reflected dissent from his positions on the Health Care bill and anticipated views on tax reform and other topics--although he is an influential member on infrastructure.
He is the kind of incumbent Republican we need to knock off in a primary.
The district is geographically large occupying the Eastern Quarter of the state from the state line with Kansas on the North to the state line with Texas on the South.
17.5% of the electorate is Native American which tends to vote Democrat; MarkWayne claims to be a Native American and presumably has a tribal card although he certainly does not look or act the part.
So if you knocked him off with a Republican, you would want to be comfortable that you had a candidate who could effectively campaign the Native American population in the district.
The district picks up Eastern Tulsa which is also a possible Dem constituency but the issues there are the same issues about which Conservative Republican's and Populists are concerned.
The district was represented for a number of years by Mike Synar who was an extreme Left Wing Dem who finally failed in a Democrat primary and was replaced by Dr. Coburn who is a moderately Conservative R; who was in turn replaced by a couple of Dems, the first being an attractive Dem candidate and the second being Dan Boren who is the current generation of a prominent Oklahoma Political establishment.
An effective well capitalized Conservative could win a primary against Mullen and there is a strong negative undercurrent among local voters with respect to his positions as reflected by the recent national press.
I am going to go on record and say the GOP will lose control of BOTH houses of congress in 2018.
Why? They arebworking against the agenda their base cares about. They failed to repeal and replace 0bamacare, theybwont build the wall, they wont reform the tax code and they are more interested in working with Democrats against the sitting Republican POTUS.
Mix all that with an energized Democratic base that hates Trump and Trumps very low approval ratings (no fault of Trumps) and you have a massive defeat on your hands.
