BREAKING: House GOP to File Criminal Charges Against Lois Lerner in IRS Scandal (VIDEO)
Gateway Pundit ^ | April 13, 2017 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 04/13/2017 3:22:30 PM PDT by prairiebreeze

Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL) went on with Stewart Varney on Thursday morning to discuss recent developments on Capitol Hill.

Roskam told Stewart House Republicans are planning of filing criminal charges against Lois Lerner.

Rep. Roskam: The Obama Administration was very lenient with the crimes that Lois Lerner committed. And those are strong words that I’m using but the House Ways and Means Committee voted out a criminal referral to the Department of Justice which was completely dismissed by the Department of Justice… We think that Lois Lerner did two things wrong. Number one, she denied people due process and equal protection of the law based on their political philosophy. We’re convinced that there is overwhelming evidence to suggest that that’s true. And that’s a felony. Secondly, we suspect that she lied to the Inspecter General of the Treasury Department.

There must be consequences to bureaucrats who abuse their positions for political ideology.

If citizens do not trust government, it is the end of the Republic.

The fact that charging her is even being CONSIDERED deserves a Victory Lap, IMHO. :)

You’re exactly right, the headline is misleading.

Jay Sekulow covered this issue on his program today and spoke with one of the Congressman that sent a formal letter to the AG, asking him to reopen the case against Lois Lerner.

I sure hope AG Sessions will oblige.

I see your point and agree. But we’ve been let down SO many times in the past.

At a minimum, I hope that evil witch is scared enough that it takes 20 years off her vile life.

It’s quite possible she did it on her own. When she was a FEC staffer there were stories about her being an anti-GOP zealot. There was some incident in which she took it on herself to put some GOP candidate who was running against Durbin at a disadvantage. As I can remember the action was it was so biased and partisan she should have fired on the spot, if we as a nation had any interest in enforcing the rules & laws demanding nonpartisanship from the federal civil service.

I wish I could remember or find the details of that incident. It came out when she first made the news.

“Precisely why the IRS should have never existed.”

The other agencies are just as bad. Think of the EPA, CIA, FBI, NSA, State Department, inJustice Dept, Education dept, etc. etc. It’s the nature of the beast - much sooner than later they all become politicized.

There is no doubt in my Military Mind that we WILL see some justice served, and served up GOOD during The Trump Presidency.

At least SOME of the Socialist Democrat Party members will think twice before trying to pull some of the stuff that happened on 0bama’s watch. It should at least slow the bleeding.

*Fingers Crossed* :)

But Koskinen is still there? That old pile of bones needs to be on a chain-gang for the rest of his days.

Good point, I was wondering the same thing. According to the Washington Times his case was referred back to the Judiciary committee back in December, where it died.

Maybe he'll be charged too. Impeachment didn't work out (2/3 senate majority required even if it made it to the senate, which it didn't, never could happen), but now that Sessions is at DOJ, he can be charged with crimes. What crimes, I don't know -- obstruction of justice? They couldn't agree in the impeachment hearings about what he was actually responsible for. But I remember thinking how arrogant this creep was, what a radical partisan he was, and how much contempt he had for the committee during the hearings.

Gave 100,000 dollars to Democrats by 2014:

Perfected by Il Dice. Copied by pretenders and 3rd raters like Obama and Lerner. It’s the fascist chin lift.

Better late than never.

Let’s hope for a conviction and prison for this criminal.

Couldn't happen to a nicer Woman......

I seem to recall her last statements were, something like "I've done nothing wrong." and "I take the fifth just in case!"

..and the IRS is STILL targeting conservative groups. THIS TIME it’s Koskinen’s fault, not Lerner’s fault. I wanna see the big fish fry.

You make excellent points that make a lot of sense. Trump wants justice and will do what he can to prevent more shenanigans in the future. It must be done or we will be a full blown Banana Republic. We’re already an Oligarchy in so many ways.

Maybe Trump does not care about his politics. As long as he is bringing in record tax dollars Trump may not care. Same thing would happen in a large corp.
