I remember as a little girl wearing white gloves to church for Easter, although my shoes were black patent leather that I buffed with a cloth to make them shine.
I remember the little hats the girls used to wear for Easter. Small things made of colored straw that would fit on your head like a scullcap. Our mothers, grandmas and aunts all wore big hats, some of them quite showy - remember the song Easter Parade - in your Easter bonnet, with all the frills upon it.
