I’d be more concerned with an offshore earthquake driven tsunami. Little chance for shore dwellers to escape that contingency with anything to come back to.

In other news: Beaches in front of Miami Beach hotels will be open, and busy. Good thing their ocean isn’t connected to California’s. Oh, wait!

“If unicorns over breed it would be catastrophic too.”

I hope they don’t all run to the same side of the island! /s

IF this were really happening, all we would have to do is pump the extra seawater into spaceships and send it to the moon.

Just think about it. Seaside property values on the moon would rise. Deep sea fishing trips would skyrocket. Hotels, roads, marinas, etc. The infrastructure alone would create tons of jobs.

Sea level rise could be a GREAT opportunity.

“The Bay Area will see the ocean swell as much as 3.4 feet by 2100 if significant action isn’t taken, the report says.”

The report is a lie, not science. Why?

If everything accepted as “facts” in the U.N. climate models is totally correct, drastic change in the output of CO2 now will NOT change the course of events by 2100. Why? Their science includes a given “shelf life” of CO2 in the atmosphere, once it is in the atmosphere, and projections of how much CO2 causes how much “forcing” toward a warmer climate. The warming in that model even with immediate greatly reduced human production of CO2 will not change, for 100 years or more - because of the level of CO2 now, how long how much of it will remain, and how it will still grow with greatly reduced human addition to it. Doing EVERYTHING now, will not change sea level rise by 2100. The shelf life of atmospheric CO2 and the level of it will keep “warming” continuing beyond 2100.

That’s IF everything in those models are correct. So the U.N.s own science condemns the claim in the report, as a fraud.

And since the U.N. models have been proven by empirical evidence to be incorrect in their predictions (due to some “facts” in the models being theoretical estimates) can anyone believe the “sky is falling” claims themselves? No.

And artichokegrower (God Bless You) I never ate an artichoke until I met my first wife in 1970 or so. The best thing about that marriage was I learned how to eat an artichoke and an avocado and I grew up in the East Bay Area. Now the chokes are so expensive out here in the hinterlands I’ve learned to eat brussel sprouts with mayonnaise as a replacement. Artichokes are a couple a times a year luxury. Are you living high on the hog at my expense? Well are you?
