UNC is a favored school. It will be only lightly punished, if at all. SMU? Not so much.

SMU had no impact on the local Dallas economy, which is why they were easy to implement the death penalty.

If Baylor got the Death Penalty, the whole economy of Waco would suffer.

Schools like UNC, Baylor, etc could use sarin gas at their athletic events and still be A-OK with the NCAA.

Slap on the wrist and a wink and a nod, nothing will happen to UNC, they are the NCAA chosen one along with Duke. Were this the University of Kentucky basketball program or University of Alabama football program the hammer would have been dropped long ago and it would have been bad. I suspect no post season for one season for all their sports and slight reduction of scholarships. NO wins or championships vacated, a slap on the wrist.

If the NCAA is going to give a pass on blatantly and systemic academic fraud from the Universities academic sector to their sports departments then what’s the point of the NCAA existence? The NCAA is so set up for a class action discrimination lawsuit by numerous other universities, coaches and players.
