Before we send the IDFs 36th Armor Division to occupy Damascus, we should stop and examine the Israeli interest regarding the situation in Syria in light of recent events.
Since the devastating images from the battles in the town of Idlib were published Monday, Israel is once again facing a moral dilemma regarding the required action in such a situation. Lots of analysts think Assad in his desperation to the new American threats could launch an attack on Israel in order to rally Arab & Iranian support.
If he does, he’ll fulfill Isaiah 17:1 on that very day.
I hope WE, the USA stay out of it.
Arabs killing Arabs..? GREAT..!
Our problem is unimpeded popcorn supply.

“Israel doesnt need to do anything. Just sit back and watch”
If you capture Damascus now, then you are in charge of defeating the whole witches brew of Jihadi and Iranian groups in Syria.
Let them punch each other out, until one victor finally crawls badly wounded to victory - then take over.

Israel is very sensitive to the existence and possible transfer of chemical weapons on it's border. The risk cannot be entirely mitigated from the air.
Assad is so reviled and so vile that no one but putin and the mad mullahs of Iran will rally to him...oh, and Hezbollah.
