Bomb attack tonight in Germany on premier football team bus. Looks as though they were very lucky and somehow shielded from the main effect of the blasts.

Three bombs, hidden in a bush, apparently the bomb maker knew the route of the bus, and was able to ignite the bomb just in the right moment when the bus was passing. No one died, apparently no fragmentation bombs.

Doesn’t look like muslim work to me. Too sophisticated. Unlikely target as well. Muslims would just blow up spectators.

Hooligans? Ultras? No way. Hooligans are more interested in hurting the opposing fans, and ultras just want to support their own team.

So, my guess is: A madman. Some loner who wants to get famous.

A couple of updates this morning:

German police are describing the attack as “Tötungsdelikts” which I translate as “murderous”, in other words an attempt to kill.

One other person, a police motorcylce outrider, was injured, “Knalltrauma” which I would best translate as “shellshock”
