....”Islam is the focal point of evil in the world today, & is at war with all the rest of us”.....
Sure it is, and Islamists have said as much. Unfortnately the problem is our world leaders don’t think this rather that they can tame the beast...it cannot be tamned.
It is what is and has been for centuries.
MY take exactly.
Both are leaders hell bent on correcting and cleaning their respective nations.
I don't think there is an American Embassy in Bohol.
I’ve been to the Philippines a few times and I’ve never heard of any US Embassy except in Manila and that’s the island of Luzon.
I don't think there is an American Embassy in Bohol.
The embassy mentioned is in Manila.
Mark17 tipped me to my mistake
see my #27 ... oops
Knarf, Socialism is Marxism.
Definition of Marxism
: the political, economic, and social principles and policies advocated by Marx; especially : a theory and practice of socialism (see socialism 3) including the labor theory of value, dialectical materialism, the class struggle, and dictatorship of the proletariat until the establishment of a classless society.

Definition of socialism
3: a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done

All well and good for a college course, but none of that exists (as far as I know) in the Philippines.
I am of like mind. They were behind the Oklahoma City bombing. I read Jayna Davis’s book “The Third Terrorist” and she isn’t a nutbag or fringe lunatic. Her book was well put together and presented.
And it wasn’t her talking to people who had no connection. She was intruding into the space of people behind it who threatened her.
In my opinion, it is impossible to read that book and not come to the conclusion that McVeigh was a useful idiot and patsy.
Correct. And Abu Sayef may also be fighting the communist guerillas. Apparently Abu Sayef is better armed.
Precisely
I thought Jayna Davis did yeoman work
You are correct. The US Embassy is in Manila. (I’ve been in that building, we haven’t moved it.) There is a Consular Agent resident in Cebu City. Nothing in Bohol.
Frank you and your wife are Americans, what the heck do you know about PI?
This information buried by the Clinton regime needs to see the light of day.
It saw the light of day at the time. It was ignored
The hand of Saddam was behind that.
Sigh. I read that book, and it doesn’t just ring of the truth, there are things that make you shake your head and say “Really? Really, really?”
The thing about the guy with the pickup truck that had been stolen, recovered, then destroyed by the government was appalling, and symptomatic of many more things that were shoved down the memory hole, if the government allowed those pieces of information to even reach the public.
Timothy McVeigh’s license plate fell off, causing him to be stopped. I don’t want to attribute any degree of intelligence to some of those bloodthirsty, beady-eyed Islamic thugs, but...I admit to thinking that was likely a fine piece of work.
Unscrew the plate to the point it is barely hanging on and is sure to fall off...sure. McVeigh was a dim bulb and might have not kept his vehicle put together well enough with no headlights out and stuff like that, but...a plate falling off?
Marx is to Socialism as Marx is to Communism.
