China's customs department has issued an official order telling trading companies to return their North Korean coal cargoes, said a trading source at Dandong Chengtai Trade Co., the biggest buyer of coal from the isolated country.

Following repeated missile tests that drew international criticism, China banned all imports of North Korean coal on Feb. 26, cutting off the country's most important export product.

The source at Dandong Chengtai said the company had 600,000 tonnes of North Korean coal sitting at various ports, and a total of 2 million tonnes was stranded at various Chinese ports, waiting to be returned.

The source spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the subject.

This is making me think Trump and Xi (or whatever his name is) had a REALLY good meeting.

Maybe we’ll finally take care of that rotten fatso. Talk about abusing your own people!

To Trump’s credit, I would think. If China buys US coal, the Norks will suffer a proxy economic sanction moment. Such a move could be a first step toward regime change. This is actually a Biden Big Deal. I think. You?

The important question becomes......... was the delivered coal paid for

If yes, good luck returning it and actually getting a refund

With the US Navy messing around closer and closer to NK, one might think that the ‘rotten fatso’ might soon have a tomahawk up his ass.

Your pretty naïve if you think that is how it works, what is interesting is sending back the Cal Vinson to the region and China not getting pissed, and now with this, I suspect a deal was reach Florida over the weekend. Also China didn’t seem to join Iran & Russia in denouncing the action the US took this weekend.

The Tomahawks clinched the deal by letting China, and the world, know that Trump means business.

It says this order was issued February 26. This was prior to their meeting and just over a month into President Trump’s presidency. He continues to amaze me. Best vote I’ve ever cast.
