The Reid Rule was controversial when the dems did it a few years ago.
All that was done now was an extension of the Reid Rule to include when voting on Supreme Justice votes.
This is the only thing I have ever seen that Reid was responsible for that turned out good for our Constitutional Republic.
The filibuster has/had never been used for Supreme Court nominees. I believe its original intention was to be used for legislation. The Dems, as usual, perverted the intention in 2003 by suggesting the possibility to keep a George W. Bush nomination of off the Supreme court (Gonzales?).
