Now I just don’t know but I think that attack was staged although it could have happened elsewhere in Syria.

Excellent post and probably more accurate than we know.

Trumps strike on Syria happened while he and the premier of China were having talks on how China can help keep the Norks from self-destructing.The norks could easily suffer from a Cruise/Tomohawk missle attack or better yet a fleet of TR3B’s destroying Kim Jung whatevers porn headquarters. If China wants to prevent that and who knows it might be in their best interest, they better reign in the whackadoos in Norkland and soon.Tick tock.

Interesting break down of injuries. We knew Isis uses children. now they know it will work on trump. They will ratchet up the use of the tactic.

Thanks RG.

I am very confused about Syria because hell, Assad’s been around forever and also his father before him. The guy is an optometrist I am to understand.

It looks like Obama et al were trying to take down the secular types and install their Muslim Brotherhood, who are a bunch of Muslims to include Jarrett and Abedin, who think THEY should run the Mideast.

Assad gassing children etc makes no sense but like all of us, I don’t know as much as Trump and here’s hoping he’s got the whole story. I believe he did the right thing.

That attack looked so staged to me but here I am across the world.

As for the political impact....heh. Susan Rice is now officially a big joke. This thing about Russians colluding with Trump before the election is no longer a talking point. Heh. And President Obama is really taking a beating in terms of public perception.

He let children be gassed, the American public asks.

Last night I think it was Tucker Carlson who had on a guest that still went on a rant about the Trump campaign colluding with the Russians.

Does anybody think the public’s going to buy that anymore?

Today’s talk shows should be very telling.

You just hit on the big problem of the mideast.

Was this strike Assad,ISIS,cabal,CIA,other terror types,if anyone knows beyond a shadow of a doubt please raise your hand.

Seeing no hands....I repeat the mid-east is a great place to stay the hell out of whenever you can.

Just when you think you know the players you don't.

From a verification standpoint it's so bad in the mid-east if you didn't see it happen yourself what really happened?

It's no wonder the zero administration did it's best to get rid of all the on-ground/on the scene people that had been developed over the years.Without them you are blind as a bat re what happened when, where,by whom etc.

Very plausible story on why Assad used the gas (if he did).

Looking forward to seeing McMaster and Tillerson. I don’t take Halley seriously, and I’m not sure the Trump Administration does either. Note that she’s assigned to CNN and NBC this morning.

That is the problem with the ME, you don’t know who or what to believe. As for Rice, she just got put front and center for claiming Syria had no chemical weapons. She actually lies more than Clinton.

I guess it pays to remember who Assad is.As you say his father ran the show and now the son does. His constituency is basically the minority Alawites which are sort of shia who hate the Sunni which includes ISIS.

Ironcially, the Sunni are a majority in Syria as they are in many mid-east countries like Iraq where the Shia are in control as well.Is it any wonder that Iran is shia as well,so now the players seem united or sort of.

Enter Russia and throws a monkey wrench into the middle of it all. They prop up Iran with our money,Syria with their new bases and what there is of their military, and try and make in-roads wherever they can.

The Muslim Brotherhood is the holding company for all sunni. They help foment terrorism on a worldwide basis and assumed power in places like Egypt for instance for some time until the military led by el sisi threw them out and took control.

Since zero is a sunni and an MB supporter he never gave el sisi the time of day other than to make life miserable for him.

Enter Trump,The Donald is smart enough to know that backing el sisi is the right move to get rid of the MB which has infiltrated our military. Also backing el sisi keeps Putin at bay. The ruskies are just chomping at the bit to create a relationship with Egpyt, already having allies in Iran,Syria and elsewhere.

The mid-east is a confusing place and the players change from time to time and backing one side doesn't always lead to the desired result.

Once again great place to view from afar.

Now Chris wants Trump to attack for any Assad attacks on his people. How stupid would that be to continue knowing terrorists hide behind civilians.

It is a considerable stretch to think that Assad would use chemical weapons to test an American policy shift, particularly since one would think that such a change would help Assad and the Alawite minority in Syria in cutting a final deal that preserved their domination of Syria. It is doubtful that is the explanation.

The more likely truth is that Assad was deeply afraid that the US policy shift was part of a secret deal with the Russians, one that he had to head off.

One needs to remember that the ostensible liquidation of Syria’s sarin nerve gas stocks was a deal struck between Russia and the United States, in particular between Russia’s foreign minister Sergey Lavrov and then US secretary of state John Kerry. Thus the guarantors of Assad’s compliance are both Russia and the United States. Assad’s use of sarin at Khan Sheikhoun thus was a direct challenge to both countries, but especially a challenge to Russia.

The Russians have been scrambling to come up with some way to explain how sarin came to be used. Had there been no Syrian aircraft over Khan Sheikhoun, the Russians would have brought out radar track maps to prove their case. Since, obviously the radar track maps most probably show Syrian planes operating over the northern Syrian town on the day of the attack, the Russians could not use this sort of evidence.

.............................

What you have here is a plausible scenario. With Syria paranoid about both Iran and Russia selling them out.But assuming that Trump cut a deal with Russia to get rid of Assad is quite a stretch.

There are several other bigger questions as well.

Some of the reports I saw suggested that the gas used was more inline with a high content of chlorine and other chemicals rather that sarin. The lack of protective clothing worn by those photoed processing the bodies lends that way as well.

Trying to decipher the Russian/Syrian relationship when you are dealing with two deranged players: Putin Mr. FSB/KGB creator and Assad whomever he really is defies a solid answer,IMHO.

In the end you are left with a typical mid-east type of scenario still guessing what happened who is who what side is this guy on what side that guy,its a typical mideast cluster that if you can stay out of, do.

Exactly the mideast is a perfect playground for the likes of the cabal. They were definitely behind the creation of the Arab Spring which was just another name for regime change in as many countries as they could get zero to do. Of course Gen. obama turned out to be one of the worst ever non-leaders so we saw cluster after cluster in country after country. Which if you goal was to create chaos all over they acehieved that and more.

It is doubtful those villages would have hazmat suits. If it was staged then they did a good job and hopefully President Trump verified it. We can only go on what we have.

Fox News has rehabilitated not only Kristol, but Michelle Fields as well.

Two more reasons not to watch Fox.
