It’s little known, but maybe 4 years before Kim Jong **IL** died, there was an assasination attempt:

His train was known to be due to pass through a station and someone planted a bomb —A REALLY ENORMOUS BOMB— there for him.

It was set to go off at the proper time, alas Jong Il altered his schedule suddenly and his train travel was suddenly made safe:

The explosion took out maybe 6 full city blocks.

Dang it, I checked and I can’t find the amazing photos:

Outside of a Fuel-Air Explosion it was the biggest conventional blast aftermath I’ve ever seen.

There were rumors that the “bomb” was actually an entire TRAIN full of ordnance.

Ah yes, I remember that. People were wondering if it were a small nuke gone awry.
