Liberty Insurance has been airing and ad where the mother is so thankful that all their son had to do was call for roadside assistance. Meanwhile the other boys whose parent’s insurance doesn’t cover it are stranded and helpless.

The Liberty Mutual insurance ads may be the most annoying ads on TV. They usually have someone with a whiny voice, telling a fictitious story with a tone of outraged indignation, and they act as if they own the Statue of Liberty. Plus the same ads have been shown hundreds of times. I usually switch channels whenever one comes on.

Of course most of the other insurance ads are also annoying.

I traveled a LOT through the 60s to the 80s. I got broke down way more than once. I could do a lot of stuff on my motorcycles to get them back running with vice grips and a screwdriver. I also pushed one into a gully in Nevada when the engine seized up. I just packed all my stuff, and there was a lot, on my back and stuck out my thumb. I never felt “stranded.”
