Face it. The American entanglements over the last sixty years in most of the world has not enhanced the security of the United States. A huge price in human and material treasure has been paid and what is more, intractable needless long term enemies to the American people have been created. This most recent involvement will do nothing either for the Syrian people or the American people long term. Islamic culture is in a violent transformation since it is not compatible with the values,institutions and practices of modernity which is challenging it. The challenge and fundamental changes cannot be avoided. The chaos in the Mideast will only get worse and persist for a very long time. Americans should not be involved nor make anymore sacrifices.. Period!

Also, Graham is still talking about training the moderates, whoever they are, but we tried that, spent a bunch of money, and as soon as they were trained they joined the terrorists. Graham sounded like an idiot to me.
