National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster delivered remarks in Florida today to give some background on the strikes against Syria Thursday. He made one curious comment that raises a lot of troubling questions:
And the one thing that I will tell you though, there was an effort to minimize—to minimize risk to third-country nationals at that airport—I think you read Russians from that—but that—and we took great pains to try to avoid that. Of course, in any kind of military operation, there are no guarantees. And then there were also measures put in place to avoid hitting what we believe is a storage of sarin gas, so that that would not be ignited and cause a hazard to civilians or anyone else.Emphasis added. Now recall that John Kerry bragged on Charlie Rose in 2014 about the Obama administration cutting an historic deal that removed "100 percent of the declared chemical weapons" from Syria. I don't know how much of a caveat the word "declared" constitutes, but as recently as January former Obama National Security Adviser Susan Rice was confidently announcing that the Obama administration had removed chemical weapons from Syria. (Suffice to say, it's been a bad week for Rice's credibility.)
Over at The American Interest, Sean Keeley observes that the Obama administration most certainly knew that the public line they were pushing about removing chemical weapons from Syria was a lie:
In Congressional testimony last February, Obama's Director of National Intelligence James Clapper acknowledged "gaps and inconsistencies in Syria's declaration," validating reports that Syria was still hiding banned chemicals at undisclosed locations.

Listen carefully- they always say Assad destroyed all of his “declared” weapons.
In other words, he destroyed the ones we knew about because he told us.
This is the real story, not that false flag nonsense
Obozo and Kerry let Assad say, “here are the chemical weapons I’m willing to destroy” (all the older and less useful ones)
So Syria destroys what they want to destroy, and Obozo claims victory.
Meanwhile, Assad and Putin grimly chuckle at Obozo and go on their merry way.
I still maintain that Saddam’s weapons of mass destruction ended up in Syria.
I think Susan Rice is mentally ill. Something is wrong with someone that can go on TV and lie so easily.

Obama Lied About Removing All Chemical Weapons from Syria

RUSH: There’s a fact-check outfit out there called PolitiFact, and it’s like all the other fact-check outfits. The Washington Post has one; the AP has one. These fact-check outfits exist only to discredit and impugn Trump. Well, the PolitiFact has had to retract a story they categorized as “mostly true” three years ago, and this story is big. Three years ago, Barack Obama and his Regime were an abject disaster. But they were claiming success after success after success, particularly in the Middle East.
One of the things that the Obama administration was celebrating was that they had completely removed chemical weapons from Syria. Obama drew that red line and the Syrians and everybody else realized the bad actor they were dealing with, and they cowered in fear, and they did remove 100% of their chemical weapons. There’s a problem now, though. Those chemical weapons were just used in an attack in Syria on Syrian citizens. So how could the Obama administration have gotten rid of all of these? The Obama… You know what the claim was? They claimed they gave all of that chemical weapons stock to the Russians.
Oh, yeah! Yeah, folks! The Obama administration — now the dire enemy of the Russians, victimized by the Russians — gave the chemical weapon stocks in Syria to the Russians.
Which means the Russians probably gave it right back to the Syrians. But the PolitiFact story retracts a 2014 article that said it was “mostly true” that the Obama administration “helped broker a deal that successfully removed 100% of chemical weapons from Syria.” So a story that was a lie backed up by PolitiFact for three years has been retracted, and the upshot is the Obama administration did not succeed in successfully removing all of Syria’s chemical weapons, as we now know because those weapons were used recently.
