Expert: Watch to see if Kim Jong-Un goes into hiding after Syria strike

By Alyssa Madruga Published April 08, 2017 FoxNews.com

The U.S. bombardment of a Syrian airbase just outside of Homs Friday was likely seen by North Korea as a clear warning that President Trump will use his military if United States interests are at risk.

The immediate focus after the strikes was on Russia’s Vladimir Putin’s reaction. Russia was not happy with the U.S., it spoke in defense of Syria and moved warships. But now the attention is on the next move by another world leader: Kim Jong-Un.

Gordon Chang, a Daily Beast columnist and author of “Nuclear Showdown: North Korea Takes On The World,” said in an emailed statement to Fox News Friday that the U.S. strike on the Syrian airfield “tells North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un that he must now heed American military power, something that he probably dismissed before.”

“Kim’s father, Kim Jong Il, disappeared from public view for about six weeks in 2003 at the time of the Iraq war. Kim Jong-Un loves the public spotlight, and it will be telling if he similarly goes into hiding,” the author said.

Maybe it is time for Kim Jong-un to be cooped up in a bunker, binging on food and drink.

Someone on Knuckledraggin's blog said it looks like he's standing on his submarine's sail in this pic, and that we should all note that the bastards aren't smiling anymore!

What an absurd comparison.

SK gets demolished even with a completely off guard NK being hit.

10,000 artillery pieces and some nukes.

In what deranged mind does that equal hitting a worthless military that can’t win a civil war against an enemy with no air power or heavy artillery to speak of.

There is NO taking fatso out without killing at least 10s of thousands of South Koreans.

Those underneath him are not free will thinkers. I’m quite sure the orders are to unleash hell on SK if fatso is killed. And that is what they will do.

But now the attention is on the next move by another world leader: Kim Jong-Un....(From the article)

More like punk neighborhood thug with a bad haircut. The "collateral damage" crowd always runs its mouth when it's time to take out the trash. We've been spending billions defending the SK border since 1955 yet there is not one US soldier present on the Mexican border. The hell with posse comitatus, when you are the target of an invasion of 25 million freeloading illegal aliens for 25 years you change the rules of engagement or you lose your damned country. And I'm sick to death of having to listen to these adolescent tinpot assholes threaten America while the collateral damage crowd is the same crowd which thinks Roe v Wade came down from the mountain with the rest of the ten commandments. It should be as concerned with our self-imposed infanticide as it apparently is with the lives of South Koreans. Why is it okay for us to lose the entire US white population to waves of illegal aliens and abortions, but Oh no, the lives of S Koreans must be defended at all cost?

Does Kim Jong-Un have any Yung-Uns? He may soon need them to ensure succession.

I’m thinking those old farts in the big hats standing in the background are thinking “I’ve survived this kids crazy old man and all the purges just so I can get my ass blown up by the Americans?’’ “For what?’’ “I’ve got a nice apartment, my kids go to the good schools and I’ve got Hennessy Whisky and Cuban cigars’’. “I’m not losing all that for this little fat ass’’ “Time lard butt here caught a ‘’cold’’.

Is this an old photo

Good question. I assumed it was recent. However, a quick check of TinEye shows it has been around since at least early 2013.
