I’m the biggest Trump supporter on FR and I think this is a mistake. If no ground troops at all are involved, the damage here can be minimal. But this won’t sit well with Trump’s base, at all.

I think this is a mistake as well.

My impression is that Trump has been ill served by his inner circle.

It would have only have taken a few more days to verify what really happened in Syria.

I consider myself part of Trump's Base. After eight years of Obama’s foreign policy failures, I was wondering how to recoup the losses. Today, Trump's actions put a stop to Obama’s/America's feckless foreign policy. It was decisive. It was clean. It shouted out, “America is back. ISIS beware, we are gunning for you. Russia, play time is over, the adults are back in town”.
